Can You Really Choose Wrong?

In June 2017, I went on a retreat to Glastonbury England and stayed at the Chalice Well Gardens. I absolutely loved the place.

Each morning I took my tea to the well, sat with her, left my intentions for her to guard, and then went to sit on this little swinging bench in the quiet among the beautiful flowers. It’s where a portion of my book began to take shape and insights came through quickly.

The whole time I was there I had the intention of buying a necklace with the design of the well’s lid because I felt so connected to it. I’d seen someone wearing it and I absolutely loved it.

Well, each day we were out and about and would get back and the gift shop would be closed. So on the day we were leaving, four of us were scrambling to get our luggage on the driveway to wait for our taxi and I said I had to run and get that necklace!

I ran in quickly, bought the necklace and hurried out.

When I got back to the driveway I showed my necklace and my friend said, “Oh, that’s lovely – the tree of life.”

I looked down and I had in fact purchased the tree of life instead of the well! Which really don’t look similar other than they were both silver.

The taxi was almost there so I ran back to the gift shop but there was a price difference so it would take too long to exchange. Reluctantly, I made the quick decision to just keep it.

Once home I felt no connection to this necklace. None.

In fact, I started to notice the symbol was everywhere and I felt a little sad that I didn’t have my beloved well instead which seemed more unique.

Fast forward to June 2018…

An entire year later and I pull a four-card spread. It’s a spread I use for myself and my clients and I absolutely love it because it’s insight for months versus quickly.

The third card you pull is a gift that is ready to unfold. I can’t remember what that card was but then you pull another card which is the guide that will help you.

I pulled Gaia.

Gaia as a guide? I didn’t get it.

It’s not that I didn’t feel the earth can guide us, I didn’t see how it related to me (which is why I love that card spread and leave it up for a month at least!).

During that month I started thinking about the necklace.

The Tree of Life.

I went and got it from my jewelry box and put in on and it’s almost as if it came to life for me. I felt I was wearing a piece of the earth when I could not be outside.

I spent the summer out in nature. Playing in nature. Sending love to her animals. Swimming with giant manta rays, feeling my feet in her sand and best of all, it led to me to meet the collective consciousness energy that I channel who I hadn’t felt ready to know who they were before.

I had the very strong thought “The universe knows what you need long before you do.”

The necklace was not a mistake.

I had often wondered how I could grab a tree versus a well cover. In fact, when I’d run back to exchange it and saw the difference I was struck by how strange it was that I’d bought the wrong one.

The universe knows what we need long before we do.

That necklace, wearing it daily, really deepened my connection to Gaia.

I heard her.

I felt her.

I felt strongly called to be a guardian for her and that calling pulled together my passions so that I could understand how they are interrelated in such a way I never saw before.

You will see it all unfold over the next few months.

It was a lot at once so I can’t put it all here in one post or it will be a novel and honestly too much for my brain to relay.

But for now, I want to send you the message to trust. Trust that the mistakes, the missteps, the confusion, it’s all leading you somewhere.

And when you get those moments of clarity you can’t help but be amazed at how everything is so interconnected!

So interconnected and not so accidental at all.
